When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has passed away on 21.08.2016 and thereafter, the retirement benefits of the petitioner was granted in favour of the petitioner's legal heirs.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives in this writ petition for adjudication. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
