This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to rectify the error in the UDR Survey Nos.154/2, 155/2, 156, 158 and 159 in Neivathali Village, Aranthanki Taluk, Pudukottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.04.2022.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that as per the document, in UDR S.No.154/2 to an extent of 5 acres and 2 cents, there are 6 sub-divisions and 7 persons names found, in S.No.155/2 to an extent of 4 acres and 89 cents, there are 8 subdivisions and 10 persons names found, in S.No.156 to an extent of 2 acres and 97 cents, there are 11 sub-divisions and 11 persons names found in S.No.158 to an extent of 3 acres and 65 cents, there are 3 sub divisions and 4 persons names found and in S.No.159 to an extent of 4 acres and 50 cents, 4 persons names found. As per the Document No. 466/1960, Sub Registrar Office, Keeramangalam, dated 22.04.1960, one joint pattadar viz., Shehu Mohamed Ravuthar, S/o. Kadarsha Ravuthar has given a settlement deed in favour of his daughter Ayisha Ammal in 2/4
respect of S.Nos.154/2, 155/2, 156, 158 and 159. He would further submit that the authorities have to conduct a detailed enquiry regarding the change of patta and he seeks time for filing a detailed counter.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is of the view that the detailed counter is not going to be much of use to this Court. Hence, this Court directs the first respondent to hold an enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 29.04.2022 and pass orders, after giving fair and reasonable opportunity to all the parties concerned, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
