O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint an effective special investigating team to probe the complaints of the petitioner dated 11.01.2019, 01.02.2019 and 18.10.2019 and connected criminal cases pertaining to the fraudulent registration by utilizing the bogus life certificate of the petitioner.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has issued a life certificate to one Shankarapandi and the same was utilised for registration of sale deed at the Registrar Office. But the said certificate was not issued by the petitioner herein. Though several complaints have been made by the petitioner, the respondent Police did not take any action thereon. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a Government Doctor. He would further 3/8
submit that she never issued any Life Certificate to anybody in her career. He would further submit that though several complaints have been given in this regard to the respondent Police, but, the respondent Police did not take any action thereon to the complaints given by her. He would further submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondent Police to consider the representations made by the petitioner.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police would submit that pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner, the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.7 of 2019 for the offence punishable under Sections 120B, 465, 466, 468, 471 and 420 of I.P.C., and the investigation in the above said case reveals that the alleged signature and seal were not of the petitioner herein. He would further submit that yet another case in Crime No.537 of 2019 was registered by the seventh respondent Police for the offences under Sections 147, 406, 419, 465, 467, 471, 294(b), 506(i), 120(b) and 420 of I.P.C. and thereafter, the respondent Police has conducted the investigation. During investigation, the petitioner has given an explanation and she further submitted that already 4/8
she lodged a complaint before the Commissioner of Police, Madurai City and the Inspector of Police, Melur Police Station.

Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the seventh respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 18.10.2021 in terms of Section 154 of Cr.P.C. and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any cognizable offences are made out, the seventh respondent Police is further directed to take action against the offenders in the manner known to law.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
