PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the balance compensation together with the statutory benefits due to the petitioner pursuant to the order in LAOP No.180 of 1987 dated 2.9.2002 on the file of Sub Court, Srivilliputhur within a time to be stipulated by this Court. The petitioner with a grievance that compensation amount for the land acquired from this petitioner has not been paid based on the order passed in L.A.O.P.No.180 of 1987 has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondent to disburse the balance compensation amount together with statutory benefits due to the petitioner, as per the order in L.A.O.P.No.180 of 1987, dated 02.09.2002 by the Sub Court, Srivilliputhur within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing today(03.10.2023), the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the first petitioner died and seeks time to implead the legal heirs. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent by referring the written instructions provided by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sattur in proceedings in 2/4

Na.Ka.A2/S.R.01/2016, dated 21.03.2023 submits that a cheque bearing No.118897, dated 20.07.2016 for a sum of Rs.14,01,024/- has been deposited in the Sub Court, Srivilliputhur in L.A.O.P.No. 180 of 1987 as ordered by this Court in A.S.No.1146 of 1988. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is closed with a liberty to the first petitioner's legal heirs along with the second petitioner to file necessary application before the Sub Court, Srivilliputhur for withdrawal of the amount, which has already been deposited. No costs.
