ORDER

The petitioner alleges harassment at the hands of the respondent police. To forbear them from doing so, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner's son is involved in a number of cases and that he is presently absconding. However, he clarified that the petitioner is not figuring as an accused. When that is the position, for the crime committed by the petitioner's son, the petitioner cannot be unnecessarily harassed. At the same time, the petitioner gives an undertaking before this Court that if she knows about her son's whereabouts, she would dutifully inform the second respondent. She gives a further undertaking that if the petitioner's son continues to be an absconding accused, she will not harbour him.

3. Recording the said undertaking, the respondents are restrained from harassing the petitioner.
