Prayer in WP(MD). 23186/ 2018 : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to release the Petitioner s Lorry bearing Registration No.TN 33-AY 7689 along with River Sand which was seized on 12.10.2018 by the 2nd Respondent ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. N.Anandakumar, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, Special Government Pleader For R1 and R2, this Court made the following order: The petitioner's lorry was seized for illegal transportation of sand. He filed a writ petition for release of his vehicle. This Court, by its order dated 22.11.2018, in WP(MD)No.23186 of 2018, directed the petitioner to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- before the first respondent as non refundable deposit.

WMP(MD). No.20350 of 2019 2.The petitioner has filed the present petition for extension of time, on the ground that he could not mobilise Rs.50,000/- to get the vehicle released.

3.The vehicle was seized on 12.10.2018. Considering the fact that the vehicle was seized one year back, condition No.(ii) of paragraph 6 of the order, i.e., the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- before the first respondent as non refundable deposit is relaxed and all other conditions remain unaltered. 4.The concerned respondent is directed to release the petitioner's vehicle without the deposit of Rs.50,000/- subject to the other conditions imposed in the order dated 22.11.2018.
