O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kovilpatti to dispose of C.C.No.683 of 2022, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that there are about seven witnesses and the charges have been framed on 19.01.2023. However, though the summons were issued to L.W.1 to L.W.3, the Police have not produced the witnesses and therefore, the trial could not be proceeded with and thereby, sought for suitable directions.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that on the date of hearing, the witnesses were suffering from ill-health and therefore, the Police have not produced the witnesses. The Police would produce the witnesses on 27.09.2023.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent Police, this 2/4

Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kovilpatti, to dispose of C.C.No.683 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
