The instant writ petition has been filed by the Revenue Inspector working in the respondent office challenging the order of suspension dated 03.06.2024.

2.It could be seen from the suspension order that the petitioner was involved in a criminal case and he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Therefore, the department has invoked Rule 17(e) of Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules and placed the writ petitioner under suspension with effect from the date on which he was remanded.

3.In view of the fact that the petitioner was suspended only recently and that too invoking Rule 17(e), this Court does not find any reasons to interfere in the order of suspension as of now. Hence, there is no merit in the present writ petition. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
