This Criminal Appeal has been filed to set aside the conviction and the sentence imposed as against the appellant by the Sessions Judge (Mahila Court), Tiruchirappalli in Spl.SC No.15 of 2016, dated 13.02.2017.

2.Today(04.02.2025), when this Criminal Appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the sole appellant is reported dead. A copy of the death certificate of the appellant has been filed before this Court.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl Side), this Criminal Appeal is closed since the charge is abated.
