Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire documents pertaining to the order passed by the second respondent Lr.No.254/ SE/ TEDC/ TTN/ DFC/ AO/AAO/REV/AS3/F.KT/16, dated 10.05.2016 and quash the same. O R D E R

This writ petition is filed as against the order of the respondents dated 10.05.2016, in and by which, the respondents have disconnected the electricity service connection of the petitioner for non-payment of CC charges.

2.Today(28.02.2023), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. 3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent TANGEDCO submits that this Court while entertaining this writ petition, by order dated 19.05.2016 in WMP(MD) No.7423 of 2016, has directed the petitioner to pay 50% of the demand amount to the respondent Board. On such payment, the respondent Board was directed to restore the electricity service connection for the petitioner's electricity service connection No.TEDC/TTN HT SC No. 254. According to the learned Standing Counsel, the petitioner has paid 50% of the demand amount, based on which, the electricity 2/5

service connection has also been restored. However, taking advantage of the pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner has not paid the remaining amount.

4.In view of the subsequent development, this writ petition is closed with a liberty to the respondent Board to recover the remaining amount from the petitioner as per the procedures and in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
