This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the first respondent to transfer the petitioner's daughter from Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai to Appollo Speciality Hospital, Madurai or any other speciality Hospital for providing medical treatment to the petitioner's daughter Sangeetha aged about 8 years old till her complete recovery.
2.Today(20.02.2023), when this Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader brought to the knowledge of this Court that pursuant to the interim order of this Court, proper treatment was provided to the petitioner's daughter for more than 86 days at Government Hospital, Madurai. Despite that, the child died on 05.07.2016. Thereafter, the petitioner filed another writ petition in W.P(MD) No.2721 of 2017 seeking compensation for a sum of Rs. 3/6
20,00,000/- for the death of the petitioner's daughter and this Court has allowed that writ petition with a direction to the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- as compensation to the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner has also received the compensation amount. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the petitioner's daughter already died and compensation was also ordered to the petitioner, in the subsequent writ petition, this Writ Petition is closed as no further order is required. No costs.
