The petitioner has approached this Court that his application to cancel the settlement deed has not been considered by the respondents.

2.Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that the settlement deed was registered on 05.12.2022, after the amendment of the Registration Act, 1908 by incorporating Section 77A. He further submits that they are conducting enquiry and it would be concluded within a reasonable period. 2/4

3.Considering the fact that the document sought for cancellation is the document, which was registered after the amendment of the Registration Act, 1908 and the respondents are conducting enquiry, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conclude the proceedings within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
