ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take appropriate action for providing ordinary/normal category electricity connection to the petitioner's agricultural land situated at Survey No.213/4, 102 Baburajapuram Revenue Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2022 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.By consent of both sides, this petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has submitted representation for supplying electricity service 2/5

connection to his land in Survey No.213/4 and Survey No.102 situated at Baburajapuram Revenue Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District. Since no steps have been taken by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the writ petition with the aforesaid prayer. However, he would also submit that it would suffice to issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, 03.09.2022. 4.The learned Senior Counsel as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents have no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5.Considering the above said submissions, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent concerned to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2022 and conclude the same within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
