ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 of B.N.S.S., seeking orders, to direct the respondent police to file final report in Crime No.2936 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.2936 of 2023 and they have already examined seven witnesses and the investigation is pending. Hence, he seeks three months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.2936 of 2023 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
