PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum, for the period of delay from 31.03.2013 to 28.10.2013 in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal benefits. ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport corporation seeking a mandamus to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum, for the delay in paying the terminal benefits.
2. The learned Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that the terminal benefits of the writ petitioner has already been disbursed with interest at the rate of 6% per annum and the same has been remitted to the bank account of the writ petitioner. A copy of the proceedings of the Assistant Manager, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNV) Ltd., Nagercoil Region dated 24.10.2024 has also been placed on record before this Court.
3. In view of the above said facts, nothing survives to be adjudicated in the present writ petition. Hence, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. 29.10.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No GVN 2/4
