ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents. Notice issued to the private respondents have been served and their names are also printed in the cause list. But they have not chosen to enter appearance.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader confirms that Survey No. 721/2, Venkadakulam Village is the water body. We direct the Tahsildar, Alangudi to conduct survey. Notice will be issued to all the stake holders and occupants and encroachers before conducting enquiry. If encroachments are 2/4

noticed, they shall be removed by adhering due process of law. The encroachers will be given appropriate opportunity before action is taken. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
