ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 465, 468, 471, 166, 216 and 506(1) IPC in Crime No.40 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner who is the Zonal Deputy Tasildhar, Koolpandi Madurai North Circle had issued fraudulent patta in favour of the co-accused without verifying any documents. Hence the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and the patta was issued by mistake and not with any malafide intention.

4.Heard the learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondent Police.

CRL OP(MD). No.21103 of 2021 5.A perusal of the materials available on record shows that already a case in Crime No.27/2021 was registered against the petitioner for the allegation that the petitioner without verifying the documents has issued patta. In respect of that case, the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail by this Court in Crl.OP(MD) No.14272/2021. Subsequently, Crime No.40/2021 was also registered against the petitioner for the same allegation. Considering the seriousness of the offence and the fact that the offence is being repeatedly committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
