This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr. P.C., to call for the records pertaining to the case in CC No.67/2019 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu, Thanjavur District may be quash the same.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. M. Pitchai Muthu, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Additional Public Prosecutor for the 1st respondent, this Court made the following order:

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners have filed this Petition seeking extension of time to deposit Rs.5,000/-. It is the contention of the learned Counsel for the Petitioners that he had filed the quash petition in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.8324 of 2022 before this Court and the same was allowed on 29.04.2022 and the Petitioners https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL MP(MD). No.13405 of 2022 were directed to pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- on or before 30.05.2022. But, the petitioners were unable to comply the direction of this Court within the stipulated time.

2. In view of the same, further period of two weeks is granted to the Petitioners to pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- as per the order dated 29.04.2022 in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.8324 of 2022 from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
