ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.02.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(c), 29(1) and 25 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, in crime No.329 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found to be in illegal possession of 23 kgs of ganja. Hence, the complaint. 3.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material records of the case.

4.Since the petitioner's name has been specifically mentioned in the First Information Report, it cannot be said that this is a case only on the basis of the confession alone. In view thereof, I am not inclined to accept the contention of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and since I have already given directions in respect of the co-accused in Crl.OP(MD)No.16442 of 2024, following the same reasons, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. sd/- 17/10/2024 / TRUE COPY / / /2024 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
