ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the first and second respondents to grant approval for the petitioner's appointment as Assistant Professor in the third respondent College on 21.01.2010, by considering the proposal dated 29.03.2019 of the third respondent.
2.Mr.VR.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. Notice to the third respondent is dispensed with, since no adverse order is going to be passed against the third respondent. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Assistant Professor in the third respondent College on 21.01.2010 in the vacancy arose due to the resignation of one E.Raja Justus. The third respondent has sent a proposal to the first respondent through the second respondent for approval of appointment of the petitioner. The second respondent has returned the proposal on various dates, for rectification of certain defects. W.P.(MD) No.23727 of 2019 on 29.03.2019. Since no order is passed thereon, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
4.Considering the limited relief sought for, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first and second respondents to consider the proposal submitted by the third respondent on 29.03.2019, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
