ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner / Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.06.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 307 and 506(2) IPC in crime No.187 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The earlier bail application filed by the petitioner was dismissed by this Court on 13.09.2024 taking into account that the petitioner has got 54 previous cases out of which 22 cases are pending. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner may be released on bail atleast for a period of one week in view of the fact that on 21.10.2024 the petitioner's son is getting married.

4. In reply thereof the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is no more just a remand prisoner he has already been convicted in Crime No.240 of 2017 in C.C.No.230 of 2018 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam and he has been imposed a sentence of three years. In view of thereof, the 2/3

short relief as prayed for by the learned counsel for the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court.
