P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd to 5th Respondents to effect necessary amendment in all revenue records, particularly the computer Tamil Nilam Package to restore the title, ownership and patta granted to the petitioner with regard to lands measuring 1.01.5 hectares (2.51 acres), 0.39.5 hectares (97 cent), and 0.21.70 hectares (54 cent) comprising in S.Nos.165/3, 165/5 and 165/2B of Keeranur village, Melur Taluk. ORDER
The petitioner seeks issuance of Writ of Mandamus to restore the patta in the name of the petitioner by amending the classification as Panjamar lands.
2.Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader invited my attention to the Government Order in G.O.(Ms).No.12, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (LA2) Department, dated 04.03.2022, in and by which, the State Government has constituted a Committee for looking into issues pertaining to Punjamar lands.

3.Therefore, the representation given by the petitioner will now have to be considered by the said Committee, comprising of the Principal Secretary to Government, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department as Chairman and Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Commissioner of Adidravidar Welfare and Commissioner of Land Administration as its members. 4.The representation of the petitioner shall be forwarded by the first respondent, who is a member of the said committee to the State Level Committee and the State Level Committee shall thereafter enquire into the matter after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2022, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till any final decision is taken by the Committee, the possession of the petitioner shall not be disturbed.
