ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Venkatesan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.V.Malayendran, learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the first respondent and Mr.N.Dilipkumar, learned standing counsel for the second respondent.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to provide educational loan amount of Rs.2,70,200/-(Rupees Two Lakhs Seventy Thousand and Two Hundred Only) to the petitioner's daughter, who is studying B.E., Mechanical Engineering Course at K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering, Samayapuram, Trichy, for the academic years from 2018-2022.

3. Upon instructions, the learned standing counsel for the second respondent states that the bank has considered and is willing to extend educational loan sought for by the petitioner. However, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.23749 of 2019 the loan will be granted only for the academic years 2019-2022 as the student has already completed the first academic year.

4. It is also pointed out that the student has already attained majority and that the signature of the student is also mandatory for extending the loan. Hence, the petitioner along with his daughter, is directed to appear before the second respondent bank at the earliest with required documents for the purpose of getting the loan sanctioned.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
