PRAYER :- Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to grant permission and No Objection Certificate in favour of the petitioners to utilise the Land in S.F.Nos. 26, 25, 24, 23, 28, 29 of Pannikarkulam Village and S.F.Nos. 438, 437, 218, 216, 215, 208, 216, 215, 208, 209, 210, 207, 204, 202 of South Ilandaikulam Village of Kayathar Taluk and Thadiampatti of Maannur Taluk, Tuiticorin for laying 33KV/110KV transmission lines to connect the Solar plants to Pooling Substations in Ayyanaruthu, Kayathar Taluk, Tuticorin District for power evacuation, on basis of the letter dated 14.08.2024 sent by the 2nd petitioner firm within the time stipulated by this Court. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to grant permission and No Objection Certificate in favour of the petitioners to utilise the Land in S.F.Nos. 26, 25, 24, 23, 28, 29 of Pannikarkulam Village and S.F.Nos. 438, 437, 218, 216, 215, 208, 216, 2/5

215, 208, 209, 210, 207, 204, 202 of South Ilandaikulam Village of Kayathar Taluk and Thadiampatti of Maannur Taluk, Tuiticorin for laying 33KV/110KV transmission lines to connect the Solar plants to Pooling Substations in Ayyanaruthu, Kayathar Taluk, Tuticorin District for power evacuation, on basis of the letter dated 14.08.2024 sent by the 2nd petitioner firm within the time stipulated by this Court.

In order to give permission and No Objection Certificate in favour of the petitioners to utilise the Land for laying 33KV/110KV transmission lines to connect the Solar plants to Pooling Substations in Ayyanaruthu, Kayathar Taluk, Tuticorin District for power evacuation, the petitioners sent a representation on 14.08.2024. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioners are before this Court.

4. I have considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited prayer that has been sought for, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioners dated 14.08.2024 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
