(in both petitions) For Petitioners : Mr.P.Ramadass For Respondents : Mr.P.Kottai Chamy, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed, invoking Section 528 of B.N.S.S., seeking orders, to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioners and their family members' life and limb, based on the representation, dated 27.09.2024.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that the petitioners sought for police protection to attend the temple festival; that in the last year festival Sindhuvampatti Village people including the petitioner, in both petitions, went to Jeyamangalam and at that time, one murder was occurred and that the both petitioners were made as accused in Crime No.261 of 2023 and after filing of the charge sheet, the case is pending for trial. He would further submit that both the petitioners have given representation seeking police protection and that they were directed to appear before the third respondent, but they have not turned up. 2/4

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are ready to appear before the third respondent.

4. Recording the same, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioners as well as the respondent in the petitioners' representation and conduct enquiry and take a decision with a period of three days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
