[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to do the needful to conserve the Palmyra Palm Trees and to plant the same.
2. The first respondent has filed a counter affidavit, dated Nil. 01.2019, wherein, in Paragraph No.4, he has stated as follows: "4.I further submit it is pertinent to mention that the Government of Tamilnadu also issued a G.O.No.142, Environment and Forest (FR-6), dated 29.11.2016 has sanctioned a sum of Rs.1.38 Crore for proper implementation of the scheme of raising Palmyrah pal tree plantation and by following the said scheme large number of palm trees are cultivated under strict supervision of the officials of the Forest Department."
3. In view of the above position, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition.
