PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the impugned Check Slip in RFL/Keelakarai/79/2023 dated 01.09.2023 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same and further directing the first respondent to receive and register the Settlement of Cancellation Deed dated 24.08.2023. This writ petition is filed as against the refusal Check Slip issued by the first respondent dated 01.09.2023.

2. The petitioner submitted a document to cancel the gift deed and the same has been refused to be registered on the ground that the document which has already been registered cannot be cancelled unilaterally.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the document was executed in favour of the petitioner's sons and with his consent they have submitted the document, however, the application has been made only by the petitioner alone. Now the petitioner is also ready to resubmit the document along with his sons, namely, respondents 2 & 3.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner that he can work his remedy under the 2/4

Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 before the Revenue Divisional Officer. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
