Seeking joint patta for the land in S.F.No. 254/2, 254/3 and 255/2, situated at Sambakulam Village, Thiruparamkundram Taluk, Madurai, the petitioner has submitted an application before the respondents on 25.06.2021 and approached this Court that his application is pending for the past three years. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the property situated in S.F.No. 254/2, 254/3 and 255/2, Sambakulam Village, Thiruparamkundram Taluk, Madurai vest with the petitioner and his brother one Mohan. However, his brother has obtained an individual patta for the subject property in Patta No.589. According 2/5
to the petitioner, he came to know about the individual patta obtained by his brother only after his demise. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that application submitted by the petitioner on 25.06.2021 before the respondents is still kept pending, without any progress.
3.Mr.P.Thambidurai, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents submits that the petitioner's application is under consideration of the respondents and a decision would be taken within a period of four weeks. 4.This Court considered the rival submissions made. 5.The petitioner has submitted an application on 25.06.2021, seeking a joint patta for the subject property. It is not proper on the part of the respondents to keep the petitioner's application pending for the past three years. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take a 3/5
decision on the petitioner's application, dated 25.06.2021, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
