ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that his application dated 12.09.2018 for conducting survey in respect of the land in Survey No. 413/8D2 situated at Block No.42, Ward No.27, Madakulam XXII, Pykara, Madurai, has not been considered, has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction to the respondents to conduct survey and fix the boundary stones.

2. Today, when the writ petition is taken up for consideration, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents, by referring the counter affidavit filed by the 2nd respondent, submits that the petitioner's name does not find place in the Town Survey Register and therefore, survey has not been conducted. 2/4

4. The reasons assigned by the respondent Corporation is not proper. The respondents shall provide an opportunity to the petitioner to produce the relevant records and take a decision on the petitioner's application and thereafter, pass orders either for conducting survey or rejecting the petitioner's application, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
