ORDER

The petitioner, seeking permission and police protection for conducting Vinayagar Chaturthi temple festival at Gandhipuram Street on 27.08.2025 and also for conducting the Vinayagar statue procession on 29.08.2025 from National Play Ground to Bakkiyam Kall Kidangu, Bypass Road South, Virudhunagar, Virudhunagar District, submitted a representation dated 23.08.2025 to the respondent Police and also filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to consider his representation dated 23.08.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the petitioner has submitted the representation only on 23.08.2025 through post 2/4

and it has been received only on 25.08.2025 (today). Since the petitioner has approached the respondent Police in the last minute, necessary orders have to be obtained from the Revenue Divisional Officer as per G.O.No.598 dated 09.08.2018.

3. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Police to consider the case of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible. No costs.
