O RDER This petition has been filed seeking to transfer the proceedings in S.C.No.23 of 2019 on the file of the Additional District Judge, Kumbakonam to any other District Sessions Court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, this Court may grant liberty to the petitioner to file an application before the trial Court when the petitioner was giving defence witness before the trial Court and further, this Court may issue a direction to the first respondent police to ensure the safety of the petitioner when he cross examined the prosecution witnesses. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner safety will be ensured at the time of cross examination of the prosecution witnesses. 4.In view of the above, without granting any relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant liberty to the petitioner to workout the remedy before the trial Court in the manner known to law and further, the first respondent police is directed to ensure the protection 2/4

of the petitioner at the time of cross examination of the prosecution witnesses.
