This Criminal Original Petition had been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.2010 of 2011 on the file of first Respondent. 1/4

2.It is the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioners that the FIR was registered on 02.09.2011 for the offences punishable under Sections 109, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC and Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act. It is the further submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioners that the FIR proceeds that the defacto complainant had complained that she was threatened over phone by abusing words. Till date, the Charge Sheet had not been filed.

3.Considering the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioners and on perusal of the contents of the FIR, it is found that the FIR was registered based on the hearsay witnesses. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
