ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 23.06.2015 which has been forwarded by the District Collector, Thanjavur in his letter in R.C.No.41895/2014/A2 dated 06.10.2016 and further report submitted by the District Revenue Officer, Thanjavur, in his Letter No.R.C.41895/2014/A2 dated 28.10.2017, within a time frame.
2.Mr.S.Dhayalan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.According to the petitioner, he was initially appointed as Junior Assistant on compassionate ground in Peravoorani Taluk Office on 26.02.2007. The petitioner is now serving as Firka Revenue Inspector and his name has been included in the approved list of Assistants of the year 2014 instead of 2011, since the probation was declared belatedly. Therefore, the petitioner preferred an appeal on 23.06.2015 for inclusion of the petitioner's name in the approved list of Assistants of the year 2011. Since no order is passed thereon, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition. 4.Considering the limited relief sought for, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 23.06.2015, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
