The petitioner, seeking permission for conducting a hunger strike protest on 30.08.2025 in the premises of Arulmighu Ayyanar Temple, Malvaai Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, has submitted a representation dated 18.08.2025 and also filed this writ petition.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in the year 1999, the Sub Court, Tiruchirappalli, passed an order that the administration of the Arulmigu Ayyanar Temple shall be conducted by a Committee, consisting of one member from the village and one member from the family of the hereditary poojari, Karuppudaiyar. After the death of Karuppudaiyar in the year 2019, his son Bhaskar assumed charge as 2/4

In this regard, they have lodged complaints before the Joint Commissioner, HR&CE, Tiruchirappalli and the Assistant Commissioner, HR&CE, Perambalur, who conducted enquiry and confirmed the allegations made as against the said Bhaskar. However, there was no action as against the said Bhaskar. Therefore, they have decided to conduct a hunger strike protest on 30.08.2025 in the premises of Arulmighu Ayyanar Temple, Malvaai Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District.
