This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a mandamus to the respondent Police to consider the representation, dated 15.07.2023 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that in respect of a theft committed in a Temple in the year 2019, a complaint was filed on 02.02.2019, but, the respondent Police have not taken any action and thereby, the petitioner has filed one more application on 15.07.2023, but, no action is taken by the Police, so far, thereby, directions are sought for.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand submits that the representation, dated 15.07.2023 is registered as a Current Paper and basing on which, summons have been sent to the petitioner to appear before the respondent Police on 03.08.2023 and 09.08.2023, however, both times, the petitioner has chosen not to appear for the enquiry, thereby, the petition enquiry is still pending.

4. Considering the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.07.2023 as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
