This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the Charge Sheet in C.C.No.256 of 2020 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni.

2.The learned Counsel for the Petitioners seeks to quash the Charge Sheet in C.C No.256 of 2020 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni on the ground that after laying the final report, the Petitioners herein, who are arrayed as accused and the De-facto Complainant had arrived at compromise. A Joint Compromise Memo is also filed along with this Petition.

3.By way of reply, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the first Respondent, on instructions from the SHO of the Palanichettypatti Police Station, Palanichettypatti, Theni District, who had identified the accused and the complainant, submitted that he has no objection to quash the Charge Sheet by recording compromise.

4.In the light of the Joint Compromise Memo, this Petition is allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.256 of 2020 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Theni, is quashed. The Joint Compromise Memo shall form part of this order.
