PRAYER :- To enlarge the petitioner on bail in Crime No.659/2016 on the file of the Respondent police Station in SC No.59 of 2021 on the File Mahila Court at Dindigul and thus render justice.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner / Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 22.08.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 120(b), 147, 148, 341, 326, 506 (ii), 302 r/w. 149 IPC in crime No.59 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Considering the fact that the petitioner who was earlier released on bail did not attend the trial and the NBW was pending for a period of two years and considering the fact that the case is of the year 2021 and only because the petitioner was absconding, the case could not be proceeded further and now it is stated that all the accused are attending and the charges are framed and the trial is about to commence, at this juncture, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail for the present.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The prosecution 2/3

shall take expeditious steps to produce the witnesses for trial and let the copy of this order shall also be produced before the learned Fast Track Mahila Court, Dindigul and the court shall also endeavour to conduct the trial as expeditiously as possible sd/- 04/10/2024 / TRUE COPY / /10/2024 Sub-Assistant Registrar (CS-I/II/III/IV) Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai - 625 023.
