Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to confer selection grade to the petitioner in the post of Junior Engineer 1/5

with effect from 31.07.2007 and consequently pay the arrears by considering the representation of petitioner dated 11.12.2013 and 29.06.2020.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed seeking a directing to the respondents to confer selection grade to the petitioner in the post of Junior Engineer with effect from 31.07.2007 and consequently pay the arrears by considering the representation of petitioner dated 11.12.2013 and 29.06.2020.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the representation dated 11.12.2013 filed by the petitioner seeking to confer selection grade to the petitioner in the post of Junior Engineer and to pay the arrears, is still pending without any consideration and the same shall be directed to be disposed.

3.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2013 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
