ORDER

This Petition has been filed by the defacto complainant seeking direction against the respondent to complete the enquiry in Crime No.540 of 2021 and file the final report before the Court of the learned Judicial Magistrate concerned within the time to be stipulated by this Court. 1/4

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the Respondent/Investigation Officer submitted that the Petitioner is the father of the victim girl. When the daughter of the Petitioner was found missing, the husband of the Petitioner made a complaint before the respondent police as if she had gone out the house along with the jewels and the investigation on the same is pending. He further submits that the husband of the Petitioner filed H.C.P.(MD)No.1451 of 2022 before this Court. In the said petition, the victim girl was produced before the Hon'ble Division Bench of this court and when she was enquired, she declined to go along with the Petitioner therein/father of the victim girl. Recording the same, the Habeas Corpus Petition was disposed of. Now the victim girl is in a Home. Hence, the Investigation Officer seeks further period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.The submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is recorded. The Investigation Officer is directed to expedite the process of investigation and file the final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order as undertaken by him/her.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
