The present Writ Petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent corporation to grant the requested leave from 01.06.2024 to till date, in accordance with the petitioner's medical condition and to refer him to the medical board to determine his fitness for duty and also direct the respondent corporation to consider him for light duty employment as per medical condition with pay protection, continuity of service, back wages and all other attendant benefits in accordance with Section 47(1) of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
3. Considering the fact that the representation of the petitioner dated 08.07.2025, seeking to refer to the medical board for the medical 2/4
condition that he had suffered is still pending before the respondent, this Court without entering into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.07.2025 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order .
