ORDER

The petitioner has prayed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to provide new electricity service connection to his house, bearing Door No. 5/185/3, situated at Jambumadai Village, Jadamangalam Post, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, based on his representation dated 21.09.2022.

Heard Mr.K.Arunraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, the property bearing S.No.769/1, situated at Jambumadai Revenue Village, Jadamangalam Post, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, originally belonged to his father - Mallan @ Mallagounder and Patta also stood in his name. Subsequently, the said property was partitioned by his father on 19.02.2007 and the same was registered, vide Document No. 279/2013. Thereafter, the Patta was transferred in the petitioner's name as well as his brother's name - Periyasamy. After partition of the said property, the petitioner constructed a tiled roof house in the said survey number and applied for domestic electricity service connection on 05.09.2022 to the said property 2/5

before the second respondent along with requisite fees and house tax receipt. However, the same was not considered by the second respondent. Hence, the petitioner has sent a detailed representation to the second respondent on 21.09.2022. However, the same has not been considered by the second respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 4.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation, dated 21.09.2022, would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.09.2022, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
