2.It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner / defacto complainant that though police have registered FIR on 14.02.2023, no substantial investigation is done so far, including the arrest of the accused.

3.Learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submitted that so far, six witnesses have been examined and steps are being made to apprehend the accused and requested short time to complete the investigation.

4.In view of the submissions made and considering the fact that six witnesses have been examined, this Criminal Original Petition is 2/4

disposed of, with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
