Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 6 to consider the Petitioner's representation, dated 27.1.2025 and to grant house site patta to the Petitioner for the Plot No.52, situated in S.No.81B/4, Raramuthiraikkottai Village, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District in view of the fact that the previous allottee namely, Chellayee, wife of Ayyakannu has passed away.

O R D E R

After submitting a representation, dated 27.1.2025 for grant of house site patta to the Petitioner, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2.Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the land was allotted to Chellayee, wife of Ayyakkannu, earlier and that the said Chellayee passed away. Therefore, he submits that the Petitioner's representation may be considered. 2/5

3.The learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 6. On instructions, he submits that house site patta was issued to the Petitioner's husband's grand father. Consequently, he states that the Petitioner is not entitled thereto. Without prejudice, he submits that the representation would be considered and diposed of, on merits. 4.In these circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the request, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation, dated 27.1.2025, after providing a reasonable opportunity to the Petitioner and respondents 3 and 4, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
