PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to conduct peace committee meeting with regard to celebration of Vadakkuvachalli temple festival in Panniyan Village and pass order on the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2024. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents to conduct peace committee meeting with regard to celebration of Vadakkuvachalli temple festival in Panniyan Village and pass order on the writ petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2024.

2. Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) takes notice for the respondents 1, 3 and 4 and Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 2, 5 and 6. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/4

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2, 5 and 6 would submit that in the writ petition filed in W.P.(MD)No.24136 of 2024 with regard to same temple festival, this Court has passed an order yesterday (14.10.2024) directing the Tahsildar to convene a peace committee meeting yesterday itself and take a decision and that in pursuance of the said direction, the Tahsildar has convened a meeting and the matter was amicably settled.

4. Recording the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
