ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Labourer working in the respondent Corporation seeking to quash the order passed by the second respondent dated 04.07.2023 wherein the request of the petitioner for conferment of permanent status has been rejected.

2.A perusal of the impugned order reveals that the request of the petitioner for conferment of permanent status has been rejected by the respondent Corporation on various grounds. In case, if the petitioner is aggrieved over the order passed by the second respondent herein, he has to approach the competent authority under Tamil Nadu Conferment of Permanent Status Act in order to 2/4

establish his claim. When an effective, alternative and statutory remedy is available, the instant writ petition is not maintainable. 3.In view of the above said facts, this writ petition stands dismissed with liberty to the writ petitioner to approach the competent authority.
