ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the charge sheet in C.C.No.125 of 2022 on the file of the Additional District Judge for E.C and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukottai, as against the petitioners/Accused No.1 to 3 2.The petitioners are facing charges before the trial Court, under Section8(b) and 20(a)(i) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.1009 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent. After completing the investigation, charge sheet has been filed before the concerned Court. Seeking quashment of the above said charge sheet, this petition has been filed on various grounds.

3.Even though this petition has been filed seeking to quash the said charge sheet, the learned counsel for the petitioner today restricts his prayer and would submit that he will be satisfied, if direction is issued to the trial Court to complete the trial within a stipulated time. 4.Therefore, without going into the merits of this case, there shall 2/5

be a direction to the trial Court to complete the trial in the said case in C.C.No.125 of 2022, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 22.11.2023 NCC :
