PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.220 of 2021 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A4, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 25 of Narcotic Drugs and 1/3

Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.220 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 01.05.2021 at about 8.45 p.m., on receipt of secret information, the respondent Police intercepted a two wheeler bearing Registration No.TN 57 BK 8772 at Dharumathupatti to Surakapatti road near Dharumathupatti Gurukulam and they found that the accused were in illegal possession of Ganja. So, they arrested the accused and seized the said Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and is no way connected with the alleged offences. Further, Final Report has been filed before the District and Sessions Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, in C.C.No.315 of 2023, showing this accused as an absconding accused.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that two previous cases are pending against the petitioner in similar nature.

5. Considering that two previous cases are pending against the petitioner in similar nature and since Final Report has been filed before the concerned Court, let 2/3

the petitioner surrender before the District and Sessions Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai and seek regular bail.
