ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.141 of 2018, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the matter has been settled between the petitioners and the second respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have already paid a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- to the second respondent / de facto complainant, by way of Demand Draft. He would further submit that while considering the anticipatory bail petition, this Court directed the petitioners to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the Credit of Crime No.44 of 2018, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.17882 of 2018 Mahila Court, Madurai and accordingly, the petitioners deposited the said amount before the Court below. The petitioners have no objection in permitting the second respondent / de facto complainant to withdraw the said amount.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent / de facto complainant would submit that the second respondent has no objection to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.141 of 2018, as against the petitioners herein.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, no useful purpose will be served keeping the proceedings pending against the petitioners. The second respondent / de facto complainant is permitted to withdraw the said amount by filing necessary petition before the Court below.

6. In view of the above, the proceedings initiated against the petitioners in C.C.No.141 of 2018, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Madurai, is hereby quashed and accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
