PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent I.e., Commissioner of Treasuries & Accounts, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2018 regarding payment of arrears of pension for the period from 01.01.2007 to 31.05.2009 within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court. The petitioner has sought a Mandamus simpliciter directing R1 i.e., the Commissioner of Treasuries & Accounts, Chennai to pass orders on his representation dated 04.07.2018, concerning the payment of arrears of pension for the period from 01.01.2007 to 31.05.2009.
2. Mr.A.K.Manikkam, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for respondents, assures the Court that the representation will be disposed by R1 within a period of six weeks from today, after hearing the petitioner, by way of a speaking order.

3. Recording the said assurance and since the Mandamus as sought stands achieved by virtue of the same, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
