Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to survey, demarcate and mark the four boundaries of the petitioner's property to the extent of 2616 Square Feet (6 Cents) situated vide patta No.414 in Survey No.96/8B1A1 at C.Pudur, Sithalankudi Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to give a police protection at the time of survey the land alone within a specific period as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to survey the property situated in Survey No.96/8B1A1 in C.Pudur, Sithalankudi Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2. According to the petitioner, she purchased 6 cents of land in the subject survey number from one Santhi under registered sale deed dated 12.06.2014. The patta for the subject property stands in the name of the petitioner's vendor in Patta No.414. The petitioner submitted an online application on 23.07.2025 in Application No.2025/0123/24/018172 seeking survey of the subject property and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2, would submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 23.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
